Spray Tanning FAQ

A spray tan is a UV-free tanning service where a fine mist of tanning solution is sprayed onto your skin for an even, natural tan. We use premium sunless tanning products custom mixed to your skin tone and desired level of color, with both standard and rapid rinse formulas available.

Not with us! We custom-blend every tan and use high-quality, professional-grade DHA. A spray tan is not one size fits all, a spray tan should be as unique as you! By custom mixing, we are able to create the natural result you are looking for. The dreaded “orange” look comes from cheap products or improper application—which you won’t find here.

We’ll guide you on the best option based on your skin tone and lifestyle.

Your entire appointment takes about 15 minutes from start to finish. The actual spray only takes a few minutes—we allow extra time for prep, drying, and a quick consult to make sure you get your perfect shade.

Most spray tans last 7-10 days with proper prep and aftercare. With the right prep and home care routine, you’ll enjoy long-lasting, even fading. We carry products in the salon that are designed for spray tanning and to help your tan last longer and fade evenly.

• Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before using an exfoliating mitt (we carry these in the salon if you need to purchase one before your appointment).
• Wax or shave at least 24 hours prior.
• Come with clean, product-free skin—no lotion, deodorant, makeup, or perfume.
• Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment to avoid rubbing or transfer. Pants and a long sleeve shirt are most ideal.

• We will discuss your rinse time during your appointment. Your rise time and aftercare will be written on a card at your appointment.
• Your first rinse should be a warm water rinse—no soap for 24 hours. Apply lotion after you rinse.
• Don’t worry if you see some color wash off—that’s just the bronzer, not your actual tan. Your tan will fully develop within 24 hours.

For best results, we recommend:

• Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and long baths.
• Use spray tan safe body wash and lotion.
• Pat skin dry after showering—avoid rubbing.
• Avoid exfoliating products until you’re ready to remove your tan.
• Use a tan extending lotion.

Yes! We carry our own exclusive line of self-tanning mousses, including a custom mixed mousse - just like our spray tans! WBB mousse can be purchased in the salon or shipped anywhere if you call to order!
